Osgood–Schlatter disease is a disease of your knees that happens in growing children. It usually happens after a growth spurt. It’s new to me, but sounds very painful. It resolves in most people on it’s own, but in some people where it doesn’t go away when children have stopped growing, doctors might consider surgery.
