• Question: did you have a job before being a scientist?

      Hi Amy,

      I did have a job before being a scientist– I worked in Tesco on the Checkouts. I always knew it wasn’t quite for me, but it was a way of earning some money so I could go to university to study to become a scientist! I kept the job part-time too whilst studying at university.

      When I was doing my undergraduate, I did a lot of work helping school children (of practically all ages) learn about and get into university. I did various things like giving peoples tours, mentoring, giving presentations and teaching people how to give presentations, teaching people about finance. I really enjoyed it 🙂
