      Hi Georgina,

      I would like to hope so– as most of us would I guess! Part of the great thing about being a scientist is that a lot of the things we look at and work with are pretty cutting edge and ground-breaking… So every new thing we discover pushes human knowledge further and that could, quite easily, help human development in future.

      Personally I hope that my research in to what exactly our natural defence chemicals of Interferons do during a cold will help us come up with an effective cold treatment! That’d be nice, wouldn’t it?
