      More than once actually, especially when my experiments are not going well and I get disappointed!

      Yes, every couple of years! Each time, I look at people I know who have less or similar qualifications working in business or banks and earn a lot more money than me. It lasts for about 10 minutes, then I think about what I do at work and what they do!

      Yes. It tends to happen when I’ve spent ages on an experiment for it only to not work or not show what I’d originally hoped it would! My cells and experiments take 30 days from start to finish– so when things don’t work out it feels like I’ve wasted an entire month!

      However the exhilaration and excitement you get when something does work is a rush unlike any other job and I’d never give it up!
