• Question: have you ever seen a badly infected heart and looked inside of it ?

      Hearts don’t often get infected, but it can happen. It’s not something I’ve really looked at and I have never seen an infected one that has been removed. I have, however seen some fairly sick ones that have been removed after patients died or they donated when they got a new heart in a transplant.

      The actual MRI scans don’t look quite like a photo. You can see some examples of the heart beating on MRI here:
