• Question: is it possible that in the future all medicines will become ineffective and diseases will become immune to them?

      Hi Brenda,

      It is true that when we overuse antibiotics, bacteria become resistant to them. The same goes with the use of antiviral medications (medicines that kill viruses), they cause the development of drug-resistant microbes. So, in a way it is challenging to treat bacterial and especially viral infections, but it is not impossible. I don’t think that scientists will ever run out of new efficient ways to treat diseases.
