I used to think not, but now I think that there is a good chance that they do. There are so many stars and so many planets that I think the probability that there is a planet out there similar enough to earth is quite good. The problem is that these planets are so far away that it takes years, possibly even hundreds of years for light or radiowaves to be sent between us and them. So it will be very difficult for us to discover this life if it exists and is intelligent.

I am almost certain that there must be another planet out there that can support life, like Earth does. There are millions of galaxies in our universe, and each galaxy has millions of stars and planetary systems. In fact, scientists have recently discovered two planets that are covered by oceans and could potentially support life. However, these planets are very far from Earth (it would take 1200 years to send light to these planets). So, I am not sure we will ever have the technology to reach them.
