The Biochemical Society is an educational organisation that is here to promote biochemistry– both to scientists and the public.

For us scientists they provide: education (they publish journals for us to read and organise talks), funding (they sponsor some research and you can apply for money from them for various science projects such as summer internships– which I did– travel grants ect) and opportunities.

For the public they help organise things like this as well as various other events so you can get to interact with biochemistry more and get to understand it.
