• Question: what is the point of being a scientist? aren't there enough in the world?

      Yes, there are a lot of scientists, no there are not enough! When we have jobs or projects available for students to do, we sometimes struggle to find a good student or scientist to come and do the projects. So, if you are a good scientist, at the moment I think you have a good chance of finding an interesting job. I also think that science and technology is something we are good at in this country and that we will need more and more scientists, engineers and programmers to keep us in that position.

      I don’t think there will ever be enough scientists.
      The point of being a scientist to find out the unknown, answer the unanswered questions, so as long as there are questions, we will always need scientists!
